Why we chose brewery Maenhout?
When Pieter Maes told Bert that he would be taking over brewery Maenhout, he was immediately convinced to work with him. As colleagues at brewery De Brabandere, he knew that Pieter certainly had the capabilities to start an innovative brewery. For Bert, it is important to be able to brew in a small local brewery. The small scale allows him to follow the brewing process very closely. Each brewing recipe of Zwaan9 is carefully composed by Bert and together with Pieter transformed into a beer with a unique taste experience.

Beer should be tasty, that's an open door. And good beer should preferably also be affordable. So it comes down to finding the right balance between selling prices and production costs so that we can grow sustainably with Zwaan9. Following this up is a task I am happy to take on within Zwaan9.
As an artist and designer, I keep an eye on layout and design at Zwaan9. In addition to the great taste of our home-brewed beers, we also care about the aesthetics of our website and promotional materials.
